My Word to Live By

As the Interim Executive Director at University Senior Living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I see the new year as a chance to reset, refocus, and embrace both challenges and opportunities.

For 2025, I have chosen the word synergy. This word highlights the joy of working together effectively. It reflects the resilience and determination needed to achieve shared goals. Synergy captures the power of combined efforts, where results surpass what individuals could accomplish alone. Moreover, it beautifully ties together happiness, teamwork, and perseverance. It reminds us that true success comes from collaboration and unity.

As the year approaches, I look forward to seeing how synergy will shape my leadership, relationships, and personal growth. Choosing a Word of the Year is not about knowing all the answers. Instead, it’s about being intentional and open to the journey it inspires.
